The short version

VidPocket doesn’t require an account, doesn’t keep a history of the links you paste, and deletes temporary files automatically within minutes.

What we process

• The link you paste. It is used only to look up the media you asked for. It is held in server memory for up to 15 minutes so you can choose a quality and download, then discarded. It is not written to our logs.
• Temporary media files. When a video and its audio must be combined, a temporary file is created on our server. It is deleted shortly after your download finishes, and in any case within about 10 minutes.
• Your IP address. Used in memory for about one minute to apply rate limits that protect the service from abuse. It is not stored in our application logs.
• Technical logs. Our application records anonymous operational events (for example “analysis completed in 2.1 s”) without links, titles or IP addresses. Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs under its own policies.

Cookies and tracking

VidPocket sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking scripts.

Thumbnails

Preview images are loaded directly from the platform that hosts the media (for example TikTok or Instagram). Your browser contacts that platform to show the image; we request it without sending a referrer.

Third parties

We don’t sell or share personal data. To fetch publicly available media, our server contacts the platform that hosts it.

Children

VidPocket is not directed at children under 13.
